Project 55 Fellows Guide

About the Project-55 Fellowship

Welcome to our AlumniCorps network, we are so excited for you to start your Fellowship! We look forward to supporting your personal and professional growth as a cohort of leaders committed to civic engagement. We at Princeton AlumniCorps hope you leverage the resources, professional development, and connections you will have access to as you navigate your Fellowship year. You are joining a group of over 2,000 alumni who have committed to public service upon graduation – Princeton AlumniCorps history of civic engagement continues with you. Below you will have access to your orientation packet, which will include various important links, required forms and readings, and helpful resources as you start your Fellowship year.

As you begin your Fellowship and start at your organization, please be mindful that your organization was excited to hire you and have you as a part of their team! They expect you to be flexible as you settle into your new role. Your ability to take initiative, learn about your role, your team, your organization’s work and its culture will be an important aspect of your professional growth and experience. Your service to your local and national community means being intentional about your impact and listening to what your organization needs are – you are committing to bringing your passion and skills to work alongside them. As your year begins, let this be a guiding question: What does the community I’m serving say they need, and how can I amplify my organization’s impact to empower them?

No matter what is in store for you this year, remember that you have your peers, our volunteers, and our team to support you. If you need support advocating personally or professionally, your concerns remain confidential. We’ll work together to approach any challenges you may face and we expect you to be in frequent contact with us. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We wish you the best of energy as you begin your Fellowship journey!
